From the early 20th century until its relocation to Flemington in the 1980s, Sydney’s produce markets were housed in Haymarket. A portion of the vegetable markets’ location is still used by Paddy’s Markets as a produce and flea market.

Within the ‘Market City’ complex are the markets, The Peak residential building, a contemporary shopping center with a food court, eateries, specialty stores, boutiques, and entertainment venues like a movie theater and an amusement park.
